Covid-19 - statement

Both Japan and UK sites are now operating with partial home-working for office staff as mentioned last week.  To further minimise the risk of exposure for production staff at our Japan site during their commute to the factory, its operating week has been changed from Monday-Friday to Wednesday-Sunday.  Otherwise, production continues un-interrupted.   There are still presently no known issues with our regular supply chain.  The situation is being monitored daily and any change will be announced here on our website.   If, as a customer or supplier, you have any questions regarding this announcement please contact us at [email protected].

 

8th April 2020

Following the recent announcement declaring a state of emergency by the Japanese government, there has been a change in the status in the Silicon Sensing business operations since the notice posted on 18^th March.  Both Japan and UK sites are now operating with partial home-working for office staff, otherwise production continues un-interrupted.   There are presently no known issues with our regular supply chain.  The situation is being monitored daily and any change will be announced here on our website.  If, as a customer or supplier, you have any questions regarding this announcement please contact us at [email protected].

 

18th March 2020

The situation in Silicon Sensing has changed slightly from ‘business as usual’ at both sites in the UK and Japan, to a state of ‘partial home-working’ on the UK site only.  There is currently no planned change of working arrangements on our site in Japan.  From 24^th March Silicon Sensing’s UK site will move to a partial home-working mode by all office staff for whom site-based working is not essential.  Manufacturing and other essential operations staff will continue to work site-based as normal in order to maintain customer deliveries.  This announcement is purely to keep our customers and suppliers informed, and our aim is for there to be no discernible difference in day-to-day dealings with Silicon Sensing.  Any change to this current status will be reported as and when it occurs.  If, as a customer or supplier, you have any questions regarding this announcement please contact us at [email protected].

 

17th March 2020

As of 17^th March, 2020, the situation in Silicon Sensing is business as usual, at both sites in the UK and Japan.  Currently there are no reported problems in the supply chain arising from the virus, which might adversely affect customer deliveries.  The general situation at a national level in both countries is changing on a daily basis and, as such, Silicon Sensing management is reviewing its operations daily in order to protect its workforce and the wider community, while at the same time acting to mitigate any associated risk to its customers and business over the coming weeks and months.  Any change to this current status will be reported as and when it occurs.  If, as a customer or supplier, you have any questions regarding this announcement please contact us at [email protected].
