This is the difference between the measured Scale Factor (described separately) and the nominal Scale Factor, divided by the Full Scale Rate of the gyroscope at a fixed temperature (normally room temperature or 23degC). Commercial gyroscopes are normally set up at this temperature, and this is the reason for calling it a 'Setting Error'. The Error is expressed as a percentage, or in parts per million (PPM). Note that 10,000ppm is 1%.
