Quality Assurance

Silicon Sensing ensures quality of product and service from concept through to production by utilising proven processes and techniques.

From the inception of a product, quality is our main concern.  Potential problems are identified and resolved before they occur using Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Product Modelling.

All product designs are validated in our environmental laboratory, which is certified to the demanding ISO 17025 standard.

Product development is monitored and controlled using the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process as a cornerstone.  Once processes are fully developed they are verified using the Product Part Approval Process (PPAP).

Internal and Supplier processes are verified through process auditing by our Quality Assurance team prior to volume production.

Our policy of continuous improvement is reflected in all that we do.  However, when things go wrong, the 8D process is used to contain the problem, to establish the root cause and to ensure no problem occurs again.

The company is currently certified to the Quality system standard JIS Q9100 (JIS Q9100 is notified as the equivalent aerospace standard AS 9100 and EN 9100).

As well as caring for our customer needs, we also care about the environment.  All our sites are certified to the environmental standard ISO 14001.
