Silicon Sensing Systems will promote its capability in the rapidly growing world of inertial motion sensing. Silicon Sensing has an enviable position in the supply of MEMS gyros to the global automotive and truck market, as well as to a wide variety of commercial, industrial and consumer products, and demand for this type of motion sensing is now soaring due new achievements on the price/performance curve.
Silicon Sensing has supplied well over 15M sensors into advanced automotive braking systems to date, offering high reliability shock-resistant sensors into this growing safety application. The sensors form a crucial part of Vehicle Stability Control Systems - sensing the vehicle yaw rate such that, when a problem is detected (an impending over-steer or under-steer situation), the braking system automatically applies braking to individual wheels to bring the car back under control. Their latest high volume gyro - the CRG20 - will be demonstrated on stand.
This proven technology in being increasingly adopted for applications as diverse as aircraft navigation, platform stabilisation, robotics, model helicopters, agriculture, race car testing and the Segway™ Personal Transporter. A range of products, all widely used in these markets, will be on display and staff will be able to discuss specific application in detail.
Silicon Sensing is an established supplier to the automotive industry, accredited to TS16949.

About Silicon Sensing
Silicon Sensing Systems Limited, based in the south west of England, is a development and manufacturing company with a global presence in the inertial sensing industry. Innovative MEMS gyro designs developed in the UK are fabricated in silicon MEMS at its facility in Japan.
Jointly owned by Atlantic Inertial Systems in the UK and Sumitomo Precision Products in Japan, the company was established in 1999. Now, more than nine years later, Silicon Sensing has established itself as one of the major players in the fast-growing market for automotive and commercial motion sensors.
